W Motors Lykan Hypersport - 2013

The Lykan Hypersport is a limited production sports car by W Motors, a Lebanese based company founded in 2012. It is the first supercar to be produced in the Middle East.[1] W Motors plans to produce only seven units of the car.[2] The first pre-production Lykan HyperSport was launched at the International Dubai Motor Show in November 2013.[3]

Most expensive car in the world

At US$3.4 million, the Lykan HyperSport is the third most expensive car to ever be made, behind the very limited (four created, three sold) Lamborghini Veneno (US$4.5 million)[4] and the Maybach Exelero (US$8 million).[5] As reference, the Lykan Hypersport is over US$1 million more expensive than the Bugatti Veyron Supersport, which holds the title of most expensive production car in the world.
The cause of the car's expensive price tag is due to its included options. It is the first car to have diamonds in its headlights. The front lights are made up of titanium LED blades with 420 diamonds (15cts).[6] The buyer can choose which rubies and diamonds they want embedded in the headlights. In addition, the client can choose between a selection of rubies, diamonds, yellow diamonds, or sapphires to be integrated into the vehicle at purchase. The Lykan is available in Lykan White, Royal Red, Royal Blue or Black.

Performance

The Lykan HyperSport is powered by a twin turbo flat-six 3.7-litre (3746 cc) engine, producing 552 kW (740 bhp; 751 PS) and 960 N·m (708 lb·ft) of torque.[7] The car is claimed to have a top speed of 394 km/h (245 mph) and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 2.8 seconds.

Media appearances

The Lykan HyperSport was added as a playable car in Asphalt 8: Airborne via an update in January 2014. It is a car of Class S, the highest class in the game. It was the most expensive car available until the release of the SSC Tuatara.[citation needed]
The Lykan HyperSport was added to PlayStation 4 game Driveclub as part of the "Ignition Expansion Pack", which was made available for free in the November 2014 update alongside the "Photo-Finish Pack".[
